STORY / GAMEPLAY In this great pinball game there are four tables available, all loaded with targets, lights, tunnels etc. The game plays and feels like an actual pinball machine and every level is surely no easier than the others. The playing screen is a view you would normally have on a real pinball table but you can't see all of it at once as the tables smoothly scroll up and down depending on the ball's moves. It is confusing sometimes but you'll get easily used to it as the scrolling is silky smooth. Many times you not only control the flippers but also some minor skill games further up the table, like moving the light which the ball will run over! Pinball fantasies is a game that you'll come back again and again and a very smooth pinball game with excellent presentation, an easy to learn curve and addictive gameplay.
GRAPHICS / SOUND The game's visuals are fantastic and all the illustrations on the machine are colorful. All details are taken directly from the original (Amiga) version but the Jaguar has a lot more colors. The ball's movement is flawless at any time. There is a total of four tables to choose from, each one with its own graphics and sounds. Pinball Fantasies' sound is exceptional, with a variety of nicely composed tunes and direct sound samples of an actual pinball that make the game pretty convincing! | |
